Do I have to be a member of NSA National to join the chapter in CT?

No, you may join our chapter regardless of your status with NSA National. However, if you wish to serve on the Executive NSA-CT Board (President, Vice President) then you will need to be a member of National.

Why become a member of the NSA Connecticut Chapter?

By joining the NSA Connecticut Chapter, you belong to the local chapter along with professionals, friends, and resources that will help you grow your speaking business and communication skills. You have access to many benefits and discounts and are eligible to be on a Board committee, with many leadership opportunities. We have three membership packages – pick the one that works for you!


How do I join the Connecticut Chapter Speakers Academy?

You will register online during our annual Membership Drive from September 2024 through January 2025. The Speaker’s Academy is held one Saturday per month from February to June for a low investment of $1500 (or less! -early registration discounts available).


How do I become a Sponsor/Partner as a service provider to reach successful speakers?

Soon, we will offer this opportunity to those who provide support services to professional members, represent speaker bureaus, or offer goods and services to the speaker community. The benefits include regularly scheduled chapter meetings, participation in NSA-CT social media groups, and the inclusion of a logo (if applicable) on social media sites. We value the support of our affiliate colleagues.


When is my membership renewal fee due?

Member renewals begin in June and are due no later than September 30th.


What is the cost of the monthly chapter events?

All NSA-CT Chapter Members may attend in-person events at a reduced rate of $40.00 (or free according to membership tier) including a seated dinner. All guests may attend at $50, and a First-Time guest may join us at $45 one time only.


Are special chapter events included in my chapter membership fee?

The cost to attend special events outside of our monthly events is at the membership discounted rate and may vary depending on the event. Special events include a summer outing, holiday party, and fireside chats that will be announced in our monthly newsletter and on our  Facebook group.


When are chapter events?

Chapter events are generally the second Thursday of the month (September – June), 5:30-8:00 PM, with some Masterclasses offered as a Saturday Morning breakfast instead. However, at times to accommodate the guest speaker’s schedule, we will have to make changes to the schedule to ensure we are booking the very best for you.
