FAQs

How do I qualify to be a Professional Member in the National Speakers Association?

A Professional Member means you are a member of the National Speakers Association headquartered in Arizona and have met the eligibility requirements as determined by National. In addition, you can join one or more local chapters based on their membership fees.  If you are not a national member or do not currently meet the eligibility requirements, we still welcome you to attend our NSA-CT chapter meetings as a guest and you would simply register for each meeting and pay its guest fees ($29 – $40) depending on Virtual or In Person. Another option is to become a Candidate Member or Affiliate/Sponsor Member.

Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or new to the world of professional speaking, you’ll find friends and resources here.

If I am a chapter member, how much are chapter meetings?

All regular chapter “in person” meetings with a Pro or Basic membership (even of another NSA chapter) or Affiliate/Sponsor may attend meetings at the reduced member rate ($25) with a lite dinner included.

We will offer an all-access pass membership when COVID-19 restrictions lift and will include a lite dinner at a reduced rate however, not available at this time.

Throughout the year NSA Connecticut will host various events such as a Holiday party, Fireside/Poolside meetings or a member picnic, to name a few. These events will have an additional fee associated due to the additional costs.

When are chapter meetings?

Chapter meetings are generally the second Thursday of the month (September – June), 5:30-8:30 PM. However, at times to accommodate the guest speaker’s schedule, we will have to make changes to the schedule to ensure we are booking the very best for you.
